MRL Malhotra Tyres

Hi

I have an old leyland, being used for forestry clearance in a plot I have recently acquired, after that I might keep it to do some light duty tillage etc but no more than 1.5 acre.

Need a new set of rear tyres, looking to keep it cheap as I'm not using the tractor to make money from it. Are MRL Malhotra tyres any good? They are going for 300 quid each new on farm marketplace.

Thanks

I should have also mentioned they are 16.9-30s and will be used for towing a 1.5 ton wood chipper up and down a steep hill. The soil is rich in clay and tends to be quite slick when it's wet.

I put a set on a digger several years ago, probably 10 years as I was moving the machine on.they were the worst tyres I’ve ever had, bugger all grip and the vibration on the road was dreadful.I’d not use them again if they were given to me ,but things may have improved.just my experience though

We put a set on a t6030 they have been good 2500 hours still look like new, little road work though.one advantage is they are at least as wide as they should be which you can't say about many budget tyres

Thanks for the info, seems like a good sale for my purposes.

Just wondering how they might compare to Bkt which cost 60 per tyre more, is it worth the extra?
