tin worm all the drive rollers except the 2 main ones for the belt have fell out so its getting harder to take the weight with out the belt slipping iyswim

Yes that's right. I doubt the the original method of belt replacement is still applicable 20odd rotten years on.

As said above. Carve the sides open below the belt line. Weld some box section in between the uprights with the cups attached. Sit rollers on cups the weld box in other side. Bit of a bodge but if it's scrap worth a try
