Muck spreading in the dark

We have the same problem as we usually try to spread muck on frost so quite often in the dark. Got auto steer next year so hope coverage maps will help

Some do, ours logs your coverage as you drive so i go around the field headland spreading which shades 24 m on the screen so when you do the inlands you can see where to turn off on the screen

I often do grain at night with tramlines tho.
Also have done fresh cut silage ground with GPS due to being short on time, no different to daytime really as have no wheelmarks to go by anyway.

As lofty said autosteer and gps switch on the spinner, can go all night if the heart desires!

To be fair even before I got the all singing spinner you get used to knowing where the feather the spools on and off at the headlands, I spread in the dark then.

ive done loads in the dark following the gps steering and working the shutters aswel, its not hard as long as youve got the lights on

Just hope muck spreader manufacturers dont start putting work lights on as standard. Hirers be on all night!!
