Stop taking sewage sludge.
See what they come up with when they’re bunged up !
Oh sorry, I forgot......they’ll dump it in the rivers.
Farmers hold all the cards here but we all know the tricky part.A thought.
Livestock farmers seem to be struggling to get a collective voice heard on this. So consider this scenario….
When hearing of this latest idea, the water companies (those bodies who admitted to over 400,000 releases of raw sewage in the last year) asked for a meeting with government. This would be refused of course, as the EA have the baton on this. So do they give up? No.
Representatives would attend the London offices and explain that collectively, the water companies had x number of days’ storage (say 3?) for the sewage sludge which had to be spread on farmland 364 days per year. They had Christmas Day off you understand.
After that, the flood gates would be opened, basement living accommodation flooded, streets running with raw sewage, and in London, the Thames would run green.
Within hours a derogation would be offered. Leaving just individual livestock farmers as EA targets.
A fairy story? Maybe. Maybe not.

Nobody on TFF eitherSo, no muck spreading etc? Presumably that means no sheep or cattle to be kept outside over the autumn/winter period yes? Or horses? So we generate even more stored muck? I'm not sure this has been thought through.....
Your right. If they want all these rules to be followed they should at least have booklets of bulls**t or a letters directing us to a link etc..Apart from reading on TFF I would not of known there was a spreading ban
