My sentiments exactly, just run a few to breed replacements but would be cheaper just to buy my replacements. Not sure where all this confidence is coming from when you look at the political atmosphere currently

You forgot profit.
You’ve forgot about the sponge fairy liguid tweezers hair spray scissors ect
I don't know where you've been involved with that but I've done a reasonable bit of work in the past for a fairly successful mule breeder and there was none of that nonsense.
Belly clip, head and neck clipped with a finer comb and through the dipper twice a couple of days apart.
Which mule breeders are does being 50 min per sheep?

I'd guess it's someone with some kind of condition that there's an abbreviation for.I reckon you've spoke to a Mule breeder... who also turns out BFLs, or Swale/Blackie tups
BFLs can take a whure of a time to dress
Youve cut the best two bits off that reportPart of the report from the recent Kirkby Stephen sale of 10,580 Mule Gimmer (ewe) Lambs.
''After a couple of years of some sheep producers looking to alternative breeds of sheep, the North of England Mule Gimmer lamb bounces back to prove herself as possibly the most resilient longstanding and prolific breeding sheep in the UK and this resulted in an abundance of sheep producers from Aberdeen in the north to Cornwall in the South being present keen to secure Mule Gimmer Lambs.
Aside from top pens the strongest well bred tupping lambs met fantastic competition from start to finish with plenty of these selling from between £125-£150 regardless of the size of pens.''
@Nithsdale Farmer always criticising mules and hes got a trophy named after himOne of the most prominent Scotch Mule breeders in this area who has always sold 400 first draw lambs at the Nithsdale Trophy Scotch Mule Ewe Lamb Sale (Thornhill, now Dumfries) - and more often than not won the trophy and top priced pen - packed the job in about 4 years ago. Sells the whole lot privately off the farm. No dressing, no colouring, no drama or hassles... Best thing he ever did he says.
We stopped selling ewe lambs as soon as the face and neck trimming crept into it

I was there! The mules were cheap you could get good tupping lambs for less than £100 .Anybody at Longtown today, north of England mule ewe lambs didn’t look to be a an a absolute trade the videos I watched for a wee while.
Lots going through about £85-£90?
Cheviot mules certainly looked to be making more.. ( I know they usually do)

I got some more chev mules bought ave £103 .
Surely not?
There's farms sell 300 mule ewe lambs in 1 go. All dressed... x50 is 15,000minutes which is 250 hours which is 10.4 days of non stop continuous dressing.
Square the tail, belly clip and give clean lines, then the neck and face... 10mins, max
That"ll be the bit where you can claim bragging rights then? Well done to yourselves, credit to you.Youve cut the best two bits off that report
it's cos the tail wags the dog.....Do you think it’s the crossing type leicters to blame or narrow Swales?
the preferred local type down here has a fair admixture of swale in it, although it's mostly stabilised long since, with several flocks sticking to tups from within the local pool.Maybe it’s time for some blackie back through the swale.
Oh for the love of GOD!! That's really ruined my day altogether now!!!I was there! The mules were cheap you could get good tupping lambs for less than £100 .
