Hello folks, I have just changed our fert spreader for a Amazone hydro profi, amatron 3 box, can anyone tell me if my trac guide 2 will talk to the amatron 3 box to give me auto shut off etc? To save me controlling manually. I will obviously need a cable of some sort, can someone advise?, it’s all a bit of a learning curve ☹️ Thanks

Didn’t find him very helpful. He is no longer the supplier, since Trimble bought Muller, will try Amazone rep again, I thought perhaps someone on here would have come across this before and would have some good knowledge ie farmer to farmer the best kind 👍

Thanks for suggestions, any ideas what cable I would need to connect the two boxes? I think they are rs232 plugs, would any cable do? If not too expensive might be worth having a try.

I don't know the track guide at all but I'm pretty sure that only the GPS port is RS232. It would be CAN bus to a non-isobus implement. I have no idea if track guide can talk to a non-isobus Amazone implement.

Yes it should according to aef database. You will need the unlocks on tracguide though. I know nothing about amazone spreaders whether you need a unlock for the spreader etc. I run my kuhn spreader section control through a tracguide2 works well, easy to use etc. What unlocks you got on screen?

Do you need the Amatron3 in this case, can't you do everything from the Track Guide. Running the spreader control on a track guide virtual terminal?
don’t know it’s a bit beyond my knowledge yet, I will try plugging it in and see what happens will most likely need unlock codes, as far as I can tell, it looks like the amatron has been used as a gps switch, I think I need to get some one who understands these things to come and give me some advice.

Sorry I was assuming your spreader is isobus and your plugging it into the trackleader basic tractor wiring loom isobus socket. If your wanting to use serial out to the amatron3 box then this is what the manual says for amatron 3 software version 1.09.00 it will provide target rate but not section control. I would speak to your amazone dealer or amazone uk to find out whether spreader is isobus or not then go from there probably find if you have not got the unlocks for track guide that there may be cheaper options than using the trac guide. try vantage they might finally have someone who knows about the muller stuff if david king was not helpfull, or email muller elctronik. I can tell you how to check what unlocks you have if you dont know for the tracguide.

Seems it isn't only me confused. I first understood the opposite, that the spreader is not supporting Isobus and later thought it is Isobus capable. Sorry if I added confusion.

I am totally confused the Amatron 3 is isobus and has the option for section control, vrc etc with the correct codes. So is it only a gps feed thats needed then?

Amatron3 can do both. I thought I'd attach a link to amazone info portal but google chrome (malwarebytes) complains about a trojan at their site. Anyway, this is from the Amatron3 leaflet.

At the same time the AMATRON 3 is compatible with
all ISOBUS equipment and forms a bridge between the
non-ISOBUS and the ISOBUS world without having to
exchange the terminal.

Thank you for all the replies, I think I definitely need some one to come and have a look at what I have, and in very simple terms, explain what can and can’t be done. Cheers.
