Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring excellent welfare of livestock.
- Ensuring all aspects of running the farms is met.
- Maintaining safe working practices.
- Overseeing weekly weighing on both sites.
- Organising and overseeing contract cleaners and catchers.
- Managing and motivating a team.
- Feed management/ordering.
- Overseeing vaccinations.
- Production performance.
- Assisting the office staff with HR and routine admin.
- Overseeing general maintenance/ground keeping.
- Motivation.
- Effective people management skills.
- Enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer and numerical literate (Excel spread sheet).
- Ability to carry out manual duties.
- Previous experience in Broiler production.
- Tractor driving skills useful but not essential.
- Full clean UK driving license.
- NVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar would be desirable.
