Situation Vacant Multiple Site Broiler Farms Manager - South West

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to take responsibility for two poultry farms in the South West. This is an exciting opportunity to join our clients expanding and reputable business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the two farms and subsequent team. The farms are made up of new or well-maintained buildings. This is a dynamic and progressive business and the opportunity will suit somebody who holds similar credentials.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring excellent welfare of livestock.
  • Ensuring all aspects of running the farms is met.
  • Maintaining safe working practices.
  • Overseeing weekly weighing on both sites.
  • Organising and overseeing contract cleaners and catchers.
  • Managing and motivating a team.
  • Feed management/ordering.
  • Overseeing vaccinations.
  • Production performance.
  • Assisting the office staff with HR and routine admin.
  • Overseeing general maintenance/ground keeping.
Requirements:

  • Motivation.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer and numerical literate (Excel spread sheet).
  • Ability to carry out manual duties.
  • Previous experience in Broiler production.
  • Tractor driving skills useful but not essential.
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • NVQ level 3 in poultry production or similar would be desirable.
A competitive remuneration package plus relocation allowance will be offered to the successful candidate.
