Mushrooms anyone?

I know nothing about mushrooms just thought some one here could shed some light on what these are.

Shaggy inkcap | The Wildlife Trusts

As its name suggests, the shaggy inkcap, or 'lawyer's wig', has a woolly, scaly surface to its bell-shaped toadstools. It is very common and can be seen at the road side, in parklands and even popping up in lawns.

I think they're eaten, so they could be added to soup. There's a TFFer who does know, but I can't think who.

Bet that's why we have very old stories of evil little creatures that inhabit fungi. The pixie on the fly agaric is one that's stuck, except it's become infantilised and twee.

Dry them for storage---- then just eat them or make tea from them
Give it a try you might enjoy it
Do some with your partner on a winters evening ----you'll keep warm

We have a Polish friend who goes bananas for them.....
