Rightly or wrongly, we've spent today drilling mustard into a fairly nice seedbed.

At 75ac, if we treated it like a crop, when would you guesstimate it could be combined and what would basic agronomy look like?

Personally I would say late September. If it is going into warm, moist seed bed will come out of the soil flying.

120 days from now... yield of 0.5 tonnes per Ha if weed free.. at harvest just cut heads off and top the field later.. combine settings as for OSR but tighten the drum a few notches😊

Mid August onwards combining yield around 1.6 tonne ha.
Pre em with Sultan.
95 Kg Nitrogen split seed bed and emergence.
You may need flea beetle control.
Oilseed raiser at 4 leaf.
Explicit for pollen beetle.
Amistar at full flower.
Hallmark and Wetcit for caterpillars at end of flowering.
This is precision drilled 4.5 kg/ha and hoed.

When would "normal" drilling be?
