Toying with the idea of buying 6 2tooth Tups of above. Anyone point me at a breeder?

Not sure there are many MV accredited breeders. But I would say the breed as a whole is regarded as much healthier than Blackies, which are addressing serious concerns about OPA in the breed.

Are you looking for hill (Lairg) types? If so, the sales are fast approaching with the sale of Hill NCC tups at Lockerbie taking place next Wednesday. After that, there's Lairg & Dingwall (miles away!) or Clitheroe and maybe Longtown.

I prefer to buy off farm, not interested in attending round a ring.

Would want MV screening at least.

I imagine you'll have to screen them yourself. The best will be going to auction, but you may find some privately.

I've bought tups off Philiphaugh (near Selkirk) that have done very well.

Otherwise, here is a list of all the flocks;

A very respected breeder is W D Allen of Stouphill, Humbleheugh, Alnwick, Northumberland, NE66 2LF.

They have both types, the Borders Park Type and the North Country Hill Type. If you are looking for a decent terminal sire, but whose female progeny are suitable to keep as breeding ewes, I would go for the bigger Park Type.

To give some idea of differences in size and maturity, the Park Tups are almost always sold as Shearlings, but the North Country Hill Tups are invariably sold as 2 Shears.

Surplus females from Humbleheugh are in big demand locally, which is a good advert for their tups. Their Park tups have good tight skins and good heads without extreme Roman Noses and without ridiculously long ears. Good tight skins are of benefit in that it helps prevent excessive wool shedding in Spring which is a feature of the rougher-coated types.

I don't know their phone number, but Google maybe does. They are only a few hours away up the A1.
