So does anybody know what this button on the case mx135 gearstick is for... I press it, hold it etc... nothing

Ours doesn't do anything either!

I'm sure someone once said it was a declutch button but the wires break?

Soft shift on a Mick Mac MC115.

Soft shift, drop the clutch and it would slowly engage, mine hasn’t worked for years

As previously mentioned soft shift but only in 4th range.
My mechanic recommended not to get a habit of using it because drops pressure and maybe encourage the plates to wear prematurely

This is correct. Don’t use it.
I was told case did it as they were getting slated by the competition for the harsh power shift. But you don’t want to slip it.

a junction to make it smoother

Ahhhh, thanks all, Atleast I know not to use it, our mx is getting on anyway with coming 10000 hours so probably best to not use anyway.
