A table, a bl**dy obvious and simple luxury! :)

If you are using stokboard to clad it don't use tek screws use U bolts. We used to use tek screws and tried pilot holes and different brands etc but they kept shearing off, no issues with U bolts though
We used U bolts, but ours is outdoors and when the stokbords expanded in the sun there was no 'give', so we had a couple of splits. Now we use cable ties and have not had the same problem.

Well this is my effort of a cattle handling setup. Done it ourselves apart from rolling the box section for the forcing pen. Still a few improvements to do with cow flow. Need to sheet the forcing pen and race so cows can only see where we want them to go. Plus concrete to the edge of the sheds would tidy up that part of the yard.View attachment 857925View attachment 857926View attachment 857927View attachment 857928View attachment 857929View attachment 857930View attachment 857931View attachment 857932View attachment 857933View attachment 857934View attachment 857935View attachment 857936View attachment 857937View attachment 857938View attachment 857939View attachment 857940View attachment 857941View attachment 857942View attachment 857943View attachment 857944
Do you have a plan showing sizes that you would be willing to share. It looks a good set up.

just been looking on utube, cattle handling, a suggestion, use threaded pipe and joiners, looked easier on some systems, rather than box, some pretty impressive handling ! Another idea, use curved galvanised sheets from disused grain bins, to make the 'tub'. Well worth having a look, crushes, and systems, well ahead of us. Pebd99, no criticism on yours, you are miles ahead of most of us !!!!

utube again, combined scoop, 1 up, 1 down = immovable head, haven't seen one over here. but great idea, blousing,
Two scoops? We have a scoop and it's great, but two seems a bit over-complicated. If there is a bar above the preferred head-level, the beast can't move its head up anyway. Our crush has a bar with holed plates at either end, that allows it to be set higher or lower as required.*

*Regardless of what level the bar is set at, I always bang my bloody head on it when I'm pressure washing the crush after use. :banghead: (Literally!)

If there is enough room you could raise that bit up to form a higher walkway for putting pour-ons & the like, would also keep it clean.
We will get to putting a walkway in between the race and holding pens. That’s why I kept the race away from the wall and the sliding gates go out that way so there’s no obstruction for a walkway.

Looks smart. Like the grooves in concrete. I put in holding pens, forcing pen an race to squeeze crush 18months ago. Made life so much easier an safer. BVD jabbed an checked tgs on 75 cows/heifers with only the dog as help.
