Try on Facebook too. Maybe the town / village or whatever FB page. Also ask any local celebs on Twitter to retweet maybe.

When one of our labs went walkabout we rang every farm within 5 miles...the post office.... The pub....every local vets....police ...dog warden...local shop... the vicar...every local dog walker we knew & some we didn't .
Make a nuisance & get folks looking,
Word soon gets about.
Fingers crossed for safe return @John

Which Conington ? the one near Fenstanton or the one near Sawtry ?
Yes, Cambridgeshire has two villages of the same name 20 miles apart

And don't forget the dog warden / police in neighbouring counties, up to 20 miles away. One of our collies bolted in a thunderstorm and ended up in the next county, having crossed a very busy dual carriageway.
We got him back.:)

Fingers crossed for your two,

Put posters up in every village, also put them in the local pubs and ask the landlord to put the word out for you.

Put on telegraph etc poles as well.

Local papers site on FB also might help.
