Quick someone find the quote from Clive saying if he needed more output he would just buy more 6m drills and 724 tractors;)

I have 2 tractors (724’s) and x 2 drivers and x 2 6m drills

Another tractor, driver and 6m drill is a lot more £ than changing one of the 6m to a 12m

If I had a 3rd tractor and driver then an additional 6m would make more sense however

Ah right I just assumed from what you’ve said in the past that the 724/6m drill was the ultimate DD outfit.

I suppose things and thinking has to change to evolve as time goes on.

I still think it is really, 6m on 200-240hp is a very nice combination. It's labour profile (ie a man down and I don't want to replace him) that is forcing me down this route. If I had to significantly increase weight of the tractor to make it posible I wouldn't consider it but assuming I the 724 copes as i'm told i will then there is no down side really

Going to need adapting or will it be high enough spec as standard?

I should start a separate thread really - it has everything I need out the box, 3 hopper (seed and fert, small seed), ISO, gutlers, row cleaners. only addition might be ISO compatible avadex application.

The coulter is very similar to the 750a really, biggest change is row spacing which is 25cm. (same as our co6) It's that what makes 12 m possible behind the same HP though as less coulters per m = lower draft. The 12m Avatar has the same number of coulters as a 8m 750a would if such a machine existed and I'm pretty happy we could easy have pulled a 8m 750a, the 724 was plenty of power for a 6m, possibly a bit OTT really

Have some drill pimping planned to further improve our CO6 before this autumn however so don't worry still some drill pimping to be done !
