Didn't realise they still made them that late we had a k reg maxum

If I remember right I think they were pretty good deals on the later ones just to get rid of them. I think I still have a copy of the quote from when we changed somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it out!!

Are you near Brigham by any chance @mph04 ?? I recognise the turbine in one of the pictures and realise you must be lower than the wold tops looking at the lack of flints in the soil. Smart bus I must say I get to Brigham/Wansford area a bit through the year wouldn't mind taking some pictures of it working.

Wonder what they would be worth now!!
I've never seen a hand written quote looking so tidy! Very modern for its day using the @ :). 'Funny' to go through prices from the past and consider how much we are getting shafted these days with cereal prices and yields unchanged still at times. Was speaking to a farmer who told me a tale that he had opted against a Silver Jubilee 7810 to go for the regular blue one. Expensive mistaka to maka.

Where abouts are you from this is a quote from our local dealer this area was full of Ih tractors and matbros at that time. I think you made the right desision to have the magnum, we all love the 1255,1455 the sound mainly but they are old now with manual box where as the magnum was a lot more modern with power shift. There's a magnum local to us is an L reg he bourght it new and it still one of his main tractors now

Yes it was from Kirbys of market Harborough & Thrapston. We are at Hargrave, not far from Thrapston.
We have had many IH machines over the years but switched to JD after the magnum [emoji85]
