NFU for everything here at the moment.

Landrover defender td5 insured for any driver over 25, business, for £390. Rover 75 for an 80 yearold £250, '64 plate Merc cls for myself and missus, business use, for £410, and a '58 plate Nissan Xtrail, also business, for 420. I think they aren't far off the mark at those prices.

sounds fine to me for the age. Decent aged vehicles. Age of drivers (discounted if over 24) mileage, mixed use farm and pleasure. I did some shopping around spent hours as ours NFU it wasn't worth changing. Ive got Skoda Octovia estate 08. Its around £300 nfu. Everyone always tells you you can get cheaper - does it include free windscreen, breakdown, low excess, no claims, etc. Speedy response with call centre and quick assessor? Ive never had problems with NFU and shaving off vast amounts off quote??? Done research a few time never get it cheaper on like for like.

Just to let you know that we have got some great premiums to offer on ALL types of vehicles, whether it's a Commercial Vehicle, Agricultural Plant and Machinery and Private Cars and we can also offer you a "Mixed Fleet" quote as well - please get in touch and I will gladly have a look at the quote for you straight away.

I have a "16Reg" Isuzu Yukon extra cab pickup insured fully comp with the NFU and the annual premium is £843 seems expensive to me, your opinions would be appreciated?

Push them on it because they did that with us and after questioning them they suddenly halved it.

I think my Hilux is about £250 with Cornish Mutual. Good firm with real people too. NFU wouldn't insure my premises as it is a 'target for thieves'. OK. Kind of why I wanted to insure it. Never mind.

Thanks again everyone for your posts, I will take the NFU to task when all our insurances come up for renewal.
To be fair I do find that if we have a claim, NFU are very easy to deal with,I guess service comes at a price.

Everyone says that when overpaying, but who says the other companies aren't equally as good to deal with. Touch wood, but never had problems with farmers and mercantile.

I pay £440 for a 178mph beast only doing 6k miles/yr. Protected NCD. NFUM were the cheapest by far after spending a while ringing around.
