4600 is now with a mate on his smallholding, 7700 is now at a farm in Essex, 7710 had a new loader fitted and is the only one I now have.
When looking through the pictures I wish I had kept all three!

The front axle being so far forward makes it nicely balanced with a loader, you don't need weight on the back, the gearbox not the best-suited though

, whatever happened to gearlevers in the middle so you could change with either hand, or both at the same time?

does a 7700 not have gears on the floor? so would be perfect for a loader, 7710 i would not fancy for loader work
IIRC and it was 30 yrs ago, 7700 has gearlevers on right same as 7710 but with the older crash box. Don't confuse the 7710 with the smaller column-change 10series, what I was meaning in the post above was the levers in the middle, like say a 5000 or 135.
8100 would be very similar to 7700, just the bigger engine?

yes i would think 8100 n 7700 would share same back end etc, 8100 had a ford truck engine fitted, one of few 2wd made by county
now i remember the gears, same as 5000 etc but just not in the middle
7700 was basicly a high spec version of 7600

always wondered, as the later ford super qs never had it did they? nor did any other tractor of that era with side mounted sticks? Dual power on the floor pedal was more user intuitve than that tiny toggle switch on the dash that some had.

Did see one what had been converted to the main gear lever, they had a transit gearnob with the overdrive switch built into it, and wired the dual power into that, so you could clutch and drop the dual power at the same time

Was a fairly common mod around here lots of 7810s about with it done,can only think of one 7810 in the area now and that's silver.

No mine's an early 10 series 1983 and not got that rail, I guess you're right about the safety thing as mine has some sort of interlock where you can't put it into gear without the clutch pedal pressed.. Its dual power is changed with a button on the floor like an old Morris dipswitch, although someone has disconnected it and fitted a switch on the gear lever; think that awful dash switch must have been later, the B-reg 7910 I drove certainly had that
I suppose at least with a Goat you could use both hands to change both levers if need be (any excuse for a photo
