If it goes again let us have a look at it. How long did the first weld last?
18 months. Second time was a different crew and they done a far superior job and used laser cut templates and showed me photos but first firms welds looked like seagulls diarrhea and scrap bin off cuts . Personally if another crack happens I think the bedplate may well need taking fully down and accessed at ground level

We use plates, and if the crack has been properly repaired you should be ok. Fingers crossed for you, a new bed plate costs a few quid!
