Well, it's a mystery to me anyway. It's been in a drawer in the workshop for years. What is it?

Here you can see there is a valve which you can attach an airline to

Is it a valve off an old pipeline milking system?

That's what I would of thought end of the line and the taps missing

Can't see clearly from photos but when you connect it to an air line and run it does it produce a vaccum on one leg? Would remind he of a valve for sucking the air out of an inner tube/ tyre.

the dairy boys are close, but its before the pipeline days, it is screwed to the lid of a milking bucket, and the sucks the air out of the bucket, the pulsator fits on the open shaped hole one pipe out let goes to the vacuum line in the byre, and the other to the bucket lid to vacuum the bucket

I ain’t no dairy boy and never knew of any other pipeline system, only the 1 you describe, think there was a 4 place system, that was long defunct where I grew up.
