My recent experience with NSF has been very poor. Their administration seems a bit chaotic has anybody else had trouble getting paperwork off them and getting inspections arranged?

Yes - keep getting emails from them regarding a feed back from a recent inspection. Not had an inspection for over 6 months now so a bit of confusion there!

I had the inspector e mail me another farms non conformance.

So rang them up and pointed out it was a breach of data security. Chap on other end of phone went very quiet.

They are a shambles.

And need reminding that we’re the customer and we pay there wages!

It is your duty to report them to the information commissioner's office.

I had, over about six years, delivery drivers from all over the UK who were delivering specifically Volac Megalac, phoning me on my mobile to ask where my farm was [not my farm but the farms they were meant to be delivering to] or that there was nobody on the yard and so on. This was happening three or four times a week at times and I had the same drivers on occasion, so we almost got to know each other. They told Volac and I told Volac and nothing was ever done about it.

That was until a couple of years ago, I'd had three the same day, from Scotland to Essex and I got really pee'd off. I phoned Volac again and told the secretary that if this didn't stop within 24 hours I would be making a written complaint based on GDPR to the commissioner because they were spreading my phone number without permission. The mention of GDPR got her notice and within half an hour I was phoned back by their top man. Within four hours they had got to the bottom of it. Turns out it was not Volac's fault but ForFarmers. The delivery drivers were delivering pallets ordered through ForFarmers but supplied direct by Volac's contracted hauliers and it was ForFarmers that put my number as a default for all mobile numbers for Megalac deliveries.
Never had a call since. The mention of GDPR got them running around like blue-arsed flies that had just been sprayed with fly killer. The reaction was amazing, after all the times I'd got absolutely nowhere.

You should report GDPR breach to information commission - not hard to do

About time someone held them accountable and audited them !

NSF being the new name for CMi?
CMi’s website used to have really good booklets on and example documents on grain store monitoring/equipment check lists/spray store inventory etc... can’t find anything like that or any mention of CMi on that very 5hite NSF website.
