Given this cold weather and late spring what are your thoughts on N application going forward ?

Is it going to be worth splitting applications still or are we getting near a date where it might as well all go on ?

As a one man band, what do you reckon the priority is,fert[second dose],spray[it's had non] or drill the rest of spring barley.
It's gonna be like driving a chariot with two horses, one going each way!

For me it would be Fert first (Lightest outfit so will travel soonest)
Go home and put the sprayer on
Then drill the spring corn as the land will be drier by then. That's if it's not to windy to spray and fert.

All Crops got 50 kg mid feb and just finished doing all bar the w. oats again with the same amount. Would usually split 50/100/50, on the
It's of feed wheat, although totals vary according to previous crop but you get the idea. Rates this year will be from 160 to 200 for barley and wheat and 150 for winter oats. Going to keep splitting in 50kg chunks unless it gets a lot warmer.

On second time round with Ammo Sulphate at the moment, then if it stays dry will be in with main bulk of Urea.
All silage grass been done now, got some TSP to put on cereals. Let alone cultivations for Maize and roll all the cereals!! or atleast the stoney fields.
that should keep me quiet for a week or 2 . Oh then better do some spraying LOL

I'm going to crack on with the first of the main splits on winter crops regardless. At the moment I can't see lodging being a big risk & frankly I need every tiller or branch to survive.
