That we can manage on a lower income and that I'm fed up of the railway life. Currently looking to go back on the trucks like before. Other than farming, that was a job I really enjoyed
The thought of him and his mates running Covid measures along side trying to mess up Brexit makes you realise how lucky we are.Jeremy's demise
Very interesting. I remember the last time CC debt was reduced. Just shows it can be done if you don’t keep spending!7 billion pounds has been wiped off credit card debt
Let’s face it most sell stuff that ends up in landfill within a year or two. It’s a sad reflection that the economy can’t survive without it. I know the boss of a fancy dress / party accessory company. Turns over 50 million selling stuff that is used once then chucked away. Big employer here and abroad, multinational sales, big exporter. Good business but what a waste.Non essential shops closed, which begs the question why open them ever again?
Interest rates are down so I can either pay less interest per year and repay debt, or pay the same and borrow more. Happy Days.God forbid they might use that money to pay back some debt or off their mortgage, of course that type of thinking makes me a dinosaur the world lives on debt
Hasent everyone a few bob more in their pocket since that senseless shopping was halted.
The pollution levels for everyone has dropped dramaticlly and we all know know that all farming continued as normal.
The important industries and businesses that were really needed stayed going and farming is one of them,
Trade and money make the world round, Whether that trade is in primary products or is spent on frivolous items is irrelevant, as long as it is spent on something. Those that were buying it might have more money but anyone involved with making, transporting or selling it is out of a job. Same with the airline industry and other businesses that depend on it, tourism etc.
If everyone just stays at home, stares at 4 walls and only buys basic food to survive, then the worlds pretty much knackered.
I can understand your point but speaking as a farmer I could see that everyone around had enough of what they wanted to live and when this is all over I would have to question the need for some of the excess spending that goes on. Alot of travelling to meetings could be done with video, We as farmers are never valued to the extent that food production should be,Those that were buying it might have more money but anyone involved with making, transporting or selling it is out of a job. Whether everyone around has enough to live depends on how you want to live. Whilst I agree that farmers are not valued enough by the general population they do have an envious lifestyle, working for themselves, from home, with a high degree of job satisfaction.I can understand your point but speaking as a farmer I could see that everyone around had enough of what they wanted to live and when this is all over I would have to question the need for some of the excess spending that goes on. That is of course true as long as there is money to pay for it, if it's all on borrowed money it can only go on for so longTrade and money make the world round, Whether that trade is in primary products or is spent on frivolous items is irrelevant, as long as it is spent on something.

Debt has been around for hundreds of years As long as you have the ability to pay interest on it then there is no problem. It can go on for as long as you want it to.That is of course true as long as there is money to pay for it, if it's all on borrowed money it can only go on for so long
Ah the labour party school of economicsDebt has been around for hundreds of years As long as you have the ability to pay interest on it then there is no problem. It can go on for as long as you want it to.
