As the title of the thread suggests i'm after a model number for this SKH plough or for its Overum equivalent. The reason I ask is that i'm trying to find a set of oil seals for furrow number 3 ram as the old ones are perished and leaking oil out. If anyone has any information on this plough it would be much appreciated. The chap at the local hydraulic place said that if I knew who made the hydraulic ram it might be easier to find the right kind of seal though he couldn't be much more use because they usually send away seals to have replicas made, the seals are in 20 bits they're so perished, so if anyone has any suggestions of who may have made the rams that would also be much appreciated.

That one appears to be the wiper seal so any match will do. It is the inner piston seals which are the important ones and are probably only O rings.
I suggest that the hydraulic company may not be the best.

That was my thought when I suggested measuring the bit where the seal sits to find a match and they said no

I used to have some 'old' machinery. A county tractor being one. My current Deutz as another example. Never knew the model or make of any ram, just took the component pieces to this co in Aylesbury http://www.barnwell.co.uk/ & presto they either had the correct bitz or could order them. The advantage here was a very good old stock from the previous co on the site 'Concord Seals'.
Usual Q's are double acting, scraper, spacer pieces & etc. Some are really just pieces of cut rubber tube!
@Derky may remember the old fellow? Near the concrete plant.
There may be a Barnwell near to you? Worth a 'phone call eh(y)

Thanks for your replies. I will try some other hydraulic places and do a bit of measuring of my own. Failing that I'll get a scraper seal the right size as that sounds simple enough and maybe try and make my own oil seal out of rubber tube though I'll try barnwells first, thanks @suffolksmallholder
