Name this rake..

Can anyone name the rake shown at the end of the video above.
Or name the manufacturer of the wrapper and rake. It's not reco they only imported the machines.

I've half an idea the wrapper was reco's own machine.
I had one a few years ago. The rating plate said rustons engineering co. Otherwise known as reco.

The rake could well have been theirs too. Maybe a prototype

Definitely a RECO machine... believe it was called a Rotacon... the little Inter was the yard tractor at Huntingdon for many years.. believe it was being driven by RECO"s chief designer Kym Bannister, lately of Kioti UK

Seems to be mounted like a fert spinner rather than trailed along the ground like a haybob.

Could miss bits? It's like a lely rountude or haybob without the wheels.

If I remember correctly, it had saucers underneath just like an old two drum mower. Tines were free floating...just pushed through holes in the tyre..could move back if they hit anything?

Possibly only about 6 built and sold here and they were all bought back and money refunded as they were problematic and rather unsuccessful.

Gallignani have no reference or videos other than these two videos. I was impressed by the performance of the rake in both videos.
I suppose now that kverneland have gallignani we may never see these rakes again. Pity I have a few old tyres for spares

when we made silage in the late 90's our contractor had a rake like that 1 year, as said was just commercial tyres with tines pushed though, it ran on saucers i think he saw it at Yorkshire show on a stand ad bought it but not sure who made it...

Kym is not at Kioti anymore, Its Patrick Desmond (Ex Reco) thats GM at Kioti.

The large machine (as stated above) was developed in NZ, under licence Reco built them in the UK. The smaller machine in the video was developed and built in the UK by Reco, who sold a number of them.
