What do students study today that is the equivilent to the NDA ? or do students specialise more into individual subject matter ?

Usually good grade 5 GCSE'S A-C English and Maths and successful interviews.
Or equivalent if due to covid ,assessments etc.

First year was general for my son at Askham Bryan on level 3 Diploma he is specialising on year 2 on crops.
Even level 3 is a much more practical course than I thought it would be . Well it was in the first year what there was of it. I did a HND at Askham but that was not practical at all (many years ago now)
