It's not a suitable climate for maize, but some rape to fatten Herdwick wethers with a bit of lime and plenty Nitrogen.

The land will be replanted with ancient plant species in preparation for rewilding with the stegosaurus that the NT understand were once native to the area.

What i was thinking , if we don't see a big article on how much rpa reduction they got or some other penalty everyone and his dog will be pointing at that field if the rpa come knockin!

Yes. I am looking forwArd to them not being fined, and the rpa adopting a more friendly and tolerant attitude to general mistakes where lessons are learnt.

We were talking last autumn and he was saying that due to covid the rest of his team had been furloughed, leaving him responsible for every single NT farm from lands end to the Scotch border! Can't remember how many farms that was but it numbered thousands! I can imagine it'd be pretty easy to miss someone ploughing the wrong field when you manage over half a million acres!

Probably. It's pretty easy to miss something when you juggle childcare, domestic duties, ageing parents, second jobs etc too.

Not many farmers, their agents etc furloughed.

Why would they need to be furloughed if the work there and not having the staff was detrimental to the business?
