Bet he'd love to see the calves on them and their size / milk not pulling them down. Are they quiet? No I should send him some
I think it is @JP1 may know moreIs the Galloway belt dominant like the Hereford white face?
Belt is dominant over solid although you can get a white galloway from that cross (like a dog white is not a "colour" but literally a whitewash over the phenotypical colour base underneath).I think it is @JP1 may know more
both cows are quiet as mice, the red one seems to have thrown to the South Devon more the calf will pull her down a bit but she soon puts it back on after weaning the lack one seems more belty like and don't seem to lose so much conditionBet he'd love to see the calves on them and their size / milk not pulling them down. Fair size cow then. I like the South Devon as a cross too, frame and calm and milky. I always thought my neighbours Simm x SD were at least the equal of his Simmentals and their 3/4 cross calves were excelentboth cows are quiet as mice, the red one seems to have thrown to the South Devon more the calf will pull her down a bit but she soon puts it back on after weaning the lack one seems more belty like and don't seem to lose so much condition
