I'm in exactly the same boat . Hope your neighbouring issue is resolved now
I haven't looked that way, going to move the cattle closer in the next day or so, we'll see what happens.

Re the tagging, we got quite good at sneaking up on calves at a couple of days old, whilst they were dozing in the sun but once you grab them they let out some sort of God-awful noise and the cows nearly stampede. Too risky even with two of us.

Thank you, we bought this place from an old chap who said the last time cows were here was when his father milked way back , we went all sheep around 5 years ago on our place but used to run Angus and whitbred shorthorn
It’s nice to have a few cows back ( only four all in calf ) the downside being we have just been put in a tb1 😖

Might be fencing these buggers on the lawn at this rate. These 2 tip the scales at 48kg. They're looking for new homes now or they'll go to the pedigree sales. Completely grass reared...well nettles, thistles and stones with grass patches in between 😂
