'Nature' should be a verb not a noun

Many thanks for sticking that there...beautifully explained piece. I like the idea of empowering of the consumer: it's up to everybody to support regenerative producers.

It's not that straightforward to do, although, as it happens, someone was suggesting the other day that we set up a 'Groundswell Assured' label, on the basis that red tractor is meaningless, organic isn't necessarily that marvellous and there is increasing and important demand from (rightly) concerned consumers. Sorry, sounds like a thread hijack and we're only on post 2...

'Renewable Groundswell' / 'Groundswell Renewable' ,🤔 .
Never mind about assurance, there's a whole new brand and label there to be had. Consumers will get behind the brand, not an assurance certificate. Once they trust it, they will love it. Transparency will bring trust.

Read it now. Interesting. That might be because it agrees with my personal views though.

I'm just finishing reading Silent Spring for the first time and it leaves me wondering, if the signs were obvious enough in 1960 for Rachel Carson to write that why have we let our greed and arrogance push things this far?

Because greed and arrogance have been the norm since then. Anyone who's thinking was so far out, as Rachel Carson's was, were just pushed to one side and labelled as luddites.
To an extent, it's still happening now but the greedy and arrogant ones are seeing a way through it by purchasing carbon credits, paying for planting trees (or similar,) because they can, and that makes it ok.

Added the missing bit ;)

Over the last three evenings we have watched, as a family, the Royal Institution Christmas Lecture on BBC4.
I thought the presentations were straightforward and visual for the children to comprehend.
Well worth a view........

Two interesting facts I learned - that in the best conditions on one day this year, the UK generated 60% of its energy from renewables. Secondly, 8% of global emissions come from food waste.

If every parent and child was to understand this Christmas lecture on the state of the climate, I do think you would onto a winner with a `regenerative food label- Groundswell`

......perhaps with the strap line "Cherry picked to sequester carbon" (Sorry, John!)
