Only fined a peppercorn amount though.

Who will really pay the fine, I suspect it will be suffering animals when it should come out of the fat cat directors pockets
If they say so, a whole lot of people will believe them even despite the verdicts and fine. A derisory fine in my opinion, which could be used to justify their belief that they didn't do much if anything 'wrong'.Mrs read there statement on there site today seams they still think they did nothing wrong!
Yes, if it was you or I, it would be us that the RSPCA would be after to prosecute, not a more general farm company. The directors would be held personally responsible. But this is the RSPCA, so different rules must apply. How is it that by openly hiring (using donated money) 3rd party companies to 'fill in the gaps' in members personal info , the directors of these charities aren't guilty rather than the charity itself?
The people at the top should be accountable for their actions.

Its a pity someone wouldn't appeal against the level of the fine.
My understanding is that anyone is able to make an application the ICO for a review of a case - I don't think a specific fine can be complained about (but I have only a basic working knowledge of this); however, the ICO is liable to Judicial Review, but that is VERY expensive and equally hard to get. Sadly I think they have been fined about as much as is likely to be possible. It will cost a lot of money to do so. Are you interested in making a small donation? I think it would have to be done by someone in england or Wales. @Danllan can probably keep us right.
