Navara seat belt alarm

Usual trick on some ford and landrover products is to turn ignition on, let dash lights go out then click and unclick seat belt rapidly several times to disable.

Don't know whether anything else is the same though.

Should be on YouTube ,on a ranger and some other vehicles you get in leave the door open, turn on ignition ,buckle up and in buckle the seatbelt 10 times then turn off the ignition to store, then repeat on the other side.

Or wear the seat belt ... it is kinda the law and all that...speaking from experience going through a windscreen is an over rated experience
That's very true however bumbling across fields and tracks stopping to open and shut gates means either taking the belt on and off or constantly listening to the bonger going off.

Take it it's not as easy as on previous model Navara?
Just had to separate the little rj plug connector joining the wires beneath the driver seat on them.

Put the seatbelt on automatically but not practical if continually in and out gates in field or around the yard.

Well the air bag shouldn't do any harm, its smaller in Europe compared to the US, because its assumed it will be deployed with a seat belt in use.

If you're not wearing your seat belt you really don't want the airbag going off. It'd be a good way to break your neck.

Had the navara air bag go off without seat belt on, saved me. I left a 1/3 football size dent in the windscreen, still get occassional slivers of glass surface on my head after 14 years

I have a length of seatbelt from a scrap car strung up from the top of the door pillar on my Disco. Use it for round the village etc but do put the real one on on main roads.

I never ever drive on the road without my seat belt ,only smash I've had was a van hitting me head on,the airbag smashed my hand through the windscreen,no time to brace myself 1st thing I knew was a cloud of gas and a pain in my hand.
