Navara snapped. 22 days out of corrosion warranty. WTF

Yesterday just bent the chassis on my truck where it's corroded. Looked fine wasn't. Spoke to Nissan. Gave them my chassis number. They said the corrosion warranty ran out on the 27th September. So it's unlikely to do any thing about it. What a bunch of idiots.

It's going to be a ball ache I think dealing with them. It's not like the corrosion has happened in the last 22 days. Maybe they be gracious and accept it and sort it. Some thing tells me they might be awkward about it though.

As above, at least 1/2 doz threads here already, iirc a more recent one was congratulating Nissan on the handling of an issue on an old Navara.

Bought a new disco sport sept 16. Error light came up in July so took it to dealership. Texchnician said we haven't got part so we'll just do temp fix for a week or so until part comes in.
I've rang dealership four times since and part still not there. Culminated in the service manager lying to me today, and also saying this to me "why should we keep you informed, the vehicles fine and we could have just done the fix that we did. We ordered the part out of courtesy!"
Had to inform him that they didn't order the part out of courtesy, they did it for warranty reasons and courtesy would have been to ring me and tell me what was going on within the last 3 months!
It's a wonder we buy cars when we have to deal with these "people"!

Take em to small claims. Best £70 or whatever it is now you’ll spend.

I know there are plenty of threads, I have read them and thought ok, this can be sorted. Called them up this morning and it's when they said there is the likelihood they won't sort it out as it's out of corrosion warranty. It's not the dealer that has said that, they didn't know their ass from their elbow. It was Nissan uk.
I mean come on. 22 days out. It's not 6 months a year etc. Not even a bloody month out.

Small claims might be the way forward. Or a lawyers letter. Makes me think twice about going to order a new np300 off them if they are going to be that unhelpful.

Have you had the vehicle serviced by Nissan?

If they are difficult I'll just strip it, blast the chassis, cut repair plays on the cnc plasma and then repainted it. I like the truck, I have a disco so I can do with out it for a month or so. It's just the annoyance of Nissan being less ham helpful straight out of the starting gate. I would be happy if they gave me some money to fix it. Not looking for a hand out from Nissan. Just do right by their product.

Not sure that the np300 will be any better. When i looked i thought it was essentially the same chassid with additional plates added

That's a shame if it is the same. From
What I gather, if Nissan had added mud shields there wouldn't have been any of this. I might be wrong. Maybe the new np300 chassis have better coating on them. I doubt it though.
