Great thread with lovely photos.

I wish I'd herd (lol) about this earlier as I love cattle. Is there a similar event in the SW this summer?

@JP1 many people there?
Not really. The car park looked OK but to be fair the site was quite small and didn't look that full.

I find going to the NAEC quite a depressing experience these days, the site looks really tired; the fabric of the site, the old cattle sheds, even silly things like the D missing on the Hereford Breed pavilion overlooking the old cattle lines. Everything looks like it gets done on a show string. I parked in a small side field as the visitor car park (I think the Abbey side) and when you leave the site the hedge is so overgrown you have to drive in to that fast minor road that runs from Leamington towards the main machinery entrance

Good beef sandwich at Dunbia[emoji106]
Hereford apparently.

I am afraid I was guilty of that too, very very nice, well done Dunbia(y)

We also went on the farm tours the day before, three very different enterprises well worth seeing. All goes to show there is more than one way to skin a cat;)

Show was good too plenty to see and not too crowded either. The dinner in the evening was not bad but rip off prices for drinks, many thanks to Caltech for the invite (y)

As always if you talk to people you learn a lot more, met some interesting young lads up from Port Isaac, who knew @Beef farmer. Good company on the tour buses and made new friends around the country.
