Need a joystick

I've got an old McConnell hedgecutter with non proportional electric controls. Basic on/off solenoids.

It needs rewiring so thought I'd like to have a joystick rather than 3 toggle switches.

Need a simple 4 way joystick with 2 push buttons on top.
Looked on eBay and RS etc but can't see what I need.
Plenty of low ampage ones that will need a relay but I was hoping to keep it simple

A mate got one from rs to replace his McConnell one that stopped working.
They defo do them.

No, but they will do one to suit, they listed loads. Can't look, rs site is down for maintenance .
Was a fraction of McConnell cost.

What about fitting two joysticks inside one box. Set one for 2 axis and the other for single axis.

Yes I'm thinking it's going to be 2 separate. One 4 way joystick and a 2 way toggle

Joystick in 2 directions for arms. Rocker switch for head.
Got to be a slight improvement on 3 rocker switches

I never got on with cable controls or hedge trimmers until we bought a Bomford B49 with a simple joystock electric control. We have gone back to trimming hedges again and now have one with a pilot hydraulics joystick. The proportional control and shaped joystick with head tilt on top is all very well but doesn't seem much if any better than I remeber the controls on that old bomford. I looked at a B54 with electric controls, but it had 3 rockers in a row and reconed that If we bought it my first job would be remaking the controls.

I can't find a good picture on the net. This is the only pic of the same control unit as that B49 had.

This is a later version, but gives a better view of the controls layout.

The joystick just nestled between thumb and index finger, with index and middle finger tips on the head tilt rocker. Possibly a Marmite control layout, but I got on well with it.

Thanks @ Dave W. Yes I can but I will have to identify what is fitted to @ Hesston4860s current B577 which is no major drama. Yes there are many variations of cetop valves but once we sort out what you have then we can point you in the right direction.
