Claire Marshall who is the BBC reporter uses her first sentence to spread many lies. In fact not once does she mention that the EU has been using it far more since its ban than the UK.

That's what propaganda is all about!

It's a bit like putting one hand in cold water and one hand in hot water, then putting both of 'em in warm water - even your own hands and brain begin to argue about what is real

this is the fuel of modern society, but we don't always see it as such

“Fipronil was banned from use on farms in 2017, but was little used before that. Imidacloprid was banned in 2018 and was also relatively little used in recent years. The researchers found the highest levels of the pesticides downstream from water treatment plants, showing that urban areas were the main source and not farmland.
The washing of pets was already known to flush fipronil into sewers and then rivers, while dogs swimming in rivers provides another pathway for contamination. “It has to be the flea treatments causing the pollution,” Goulson said. “Really, there’s no other conceivable source.”

I couldn’t find any BBC articles on this side of it 🤔

Yes i am no fan of the BBC but if it really kills the Bees and other pollinators that cannot be good can it?
it kills bees when used incorrectly.
Used as a seed dressing on non flowering crops there is no evidence that it harms bees, unlike the other insecticides which may have to be used overall to eradicate the pest that a seed dressing could have prevented

I dont know the facts but if it kills Bees it cannot be good where ever it comes from
fly spray and ant powder available to every one kills bees

neonic seed dressing was last allowed to be use on seed for environmentle areas

the banning of neonitinoid seed dressing has lead to the calapse in the growing of nector producing crops in england and the starvation of all nector consuming inscects
the seed dressing is applied to the seed that is planted in august the nector from the crop feeds inscects and bees 7 months later .the oilseed rape crop produces nector early in the year when bees need it most to build up their colonies

the bee farmer on my farm has never found neonicitinoid poisening in his bees that foraged oil seed rape the pollen and nector is easy to collect and test

@willy this just highlights just how poor the NFU are. While you write this in despair they are happily back slapping them selves on twitter about how great they are and how nice the world is …..

So the neonicotinoid cannot leach into the soil then?
