it kills bees when used incorrectly.
Used as a seed dressing on non flowering crops there is no evidence that it harms bees, unlike the other insecticides which may have to be used overall to eradicate the pest that a seed dressing could have prevented

the banning of neonitinoid seed dressing has lead to the calapse in the growing of nector producing crops in england and the starvation of all nector consuming inscects
the seed dressing is applied to the seed that is planted in august the nector from the crop feeds inscects and bees 7 months later .the oilseed rape crop produces nector early in the year when bees need it most to build up their colonies

the bee farmer on my farm has never found neonicitinoid poisening in his bees that foraged oil seed rape the pollen and nector is easy to collect and test
