Massey Ferguson 4710 vs New Holland T5.105

I have whittled it down to a two horse race, as we only do a few hours a year!

Views and thoughts on each please

Have a prod around on one of each, see if your dealer can get a demo if not they might be able to put you in touch with an existing customer who has one. Get their views, have a seat/drive round and then buy the one that tickles your fancy.

The forum experts will be along shortly with all sorts of tales/ shite about why you should and should not buy either brand. Then most of the same plonkers will tell you to buy a totally different brand even though you have said these are the two in the final race!

Good luck making the right choice.:)

I haven’t had a loader tractor for years but thought that some new ones have the shuttle on the joystick like a telehandler always thought that would be a great option if available

To compare like for like surely it would be a 5711 Massey.
You may be right, yet I believe that the 5711 was a lot dearer, I had a budget of 50k. The two models I mentioned both fall well inside that price, complete with loader..

I bought a case farmall 115 with loader last year (similar to NH I believe) Bog standard spec with minimal electrics in the cab as it’s mainly for simple jobs and straw blower in winter. Very happy with it plenty of grunt and the 2 workers here prefer it to our Mf6470.
