New 10ft mounted mower conditioner?

If you go for the Claas , spec it with the optional extra wear skids , they hook in at the front and bolt on at the back , takes all the wear instead of the bed and greatly improves long term residual value as wear of the bed the first thing anyone looks at when buying a second hand mower or trading one in.
Cost buttons as an added extra at build and order but quite expensive to buy individually through parts but well worth it in the long run.

Just wondered why does my mower (jd1365) leave a slightly longer cut strip of grass down each run , I'm guessing bits between the discs . All new genuine Kuhn blades on) mowing around 14kph

As had a contractor in with front/backs new ish Kuhn mowers and his stubble is completely level in comparison as I'd done headlands and left him the middles .

Less discs on a trailed so not as good an overlap so you bet the long tufts

Bigger discs when angled down slightly travel in an arc cutting closer in the middle than the outside. Less noticable with small discs and thinner bed allowing blades to be nearer level

we have an ancient 1350 so might be wrong. Look in the book for cutting height settings....... lift the skids one hole and roll the bed back to lose the ‘scallop’ effect?

One little thing to check, where the discs converge is the cast wear piece tidy? If it’s a bit mangled as they often are, dress it smooth with the grinder and see if that helps.

Run a KV here very impressed with it apart from the stickers. Out of your two options I would go Claas everytime. I no several people who are very rough on kit that I wouldn't even lend a spade to but they cant seam to break their claas kit!
Yep. I know a contractor that pushes his gear hard, maintains them but they are expected to work, he switched from class to krone, reakons it's the biggest mistake he's made wish he'd stayed with class.

First day out very pleased with it

It runs at a flatter angle than my 3100 did and cuts cleaner so all good it's a shame there's bugger all grass with the weather but nowt we can do about that
