New and exciting way for a lamb to die

Cade lamb 12 weeks old. Pulled off the ewe at 3/4 weeks old because the ewe tried dying of mastitis. Weaned, eating creep and thriving. 4 days ago presented with stiff neck and slight swelling. Treated with alamycin and flunixin. No improvement. This evening the swelling was fist sized but felt very fluid. Slightly green nasal discharge, raspy breathing but still eating and drinking. Decided to drain the fluid. 100ml of pink/pus fluid came out. As the last syringe full came out she started to cough up blood and died. Opened her up and found this mass under her neck/chin. Looked like a combination of infection and blood clot and was firm to the touch. All the other organs were healthy. Recently drenched with Albex and a mineral drench as well as jabbed with bravoxin and sprayed with crovect. Google says goitre but her age says otherwise.

Would take days for infection to build do you use a specific sized lamb dosing gun?
Yeah it was a lamb size mouthpiece. Didn't think I was especially rough or that the end was sharp but it was a new gun so maybe it was a bit sharp or something.
