Irrespective of make I would get 10 stud commercial axles.

Definitley springs and commercial axles with air & abs if you do any amount of roadwork with mini super singles. We bought a new Marshall last year 28 foot, flotation tyres & LED lights, nothing overly special but we're ring fenced and its barn stored so doesnt need to be to fancy. As for makes Stewart, broughan, HM,Ktwo & bailey to name a few of the premium brands

Am in a similar situation to you as will be doing very little roadwork. Have contacted ktwo and they can’t supply one this side of harvest . Are you pleased with your Marshall?

Speaking from experience you can delete HM from your list. They show the paying customer very little respect or honesty.

Chequer plate floor wrapped around the edges , just never thought it looks v professional nor attractive . Specially at there prices.. bought 2 bailey standard 28ft 10 ton on ss . Look smart do the job and was borderline 12k for the pair

I wouldn’t rule out Smyth or Dooley, a lot of Smyths around here coping well with abuse, tight lanes and a lot of silage bale work

Generally very pleased with it especially for the price, Paint isnt as good as other makes but because it's kept indoors you don't notice that. Quite a few local farmers run several marshall bale trailers and do lots of heavy road work and they keep buying them so they cant be that bad!

Had a friend who just took delivery of a JPM dump trailer after seeing one at a show and being really impressed. The build quality of the one that turned up is shocking. Lots of the welds are full of holes and you can still see the undercoat in places, no finesse about it

He shouldn’t have taken delivery of it if it was that bad, I’ve had no problems with the one I’ve got.

The Braughan are one of the best made and best finished trailer , the paint work is top class , sandblasted and two pack paint used . It will be a long time before you see a Braughan rusting .

Find on the 28ft Marshall the axles are too far back and it likes to cut the corners. No doubting their build quality and paint has improved a lot in recent years though.
