He liked it, it's high too so I don't bump my nut going in and outHow did the vet like it?
It works very well. The strength of the bottom pivot fixing is crucial but the tipping action means it's quick to close and you move within the animal's flight zone@JP1 how has the rear hinged gate faired?
I need to fit a stop gate in my race before Tb testing and that style would fit better.
I would tend to agree, tb testing would fly by with help like that. Now that looks smart....and I'm not even a stockman!!
Works like a dream as long as you accept little calf followers (up to say 3 months old) can get in and outSorry to drag up an old thread, but we are looking to put in a new crush and I was trying to decide between a batwing gate and a sliding gate at the bottom of the crush - until I seen the pivot version here.
Just wondering how the OP is getting on with it now and if it all worked out as planned. Seems like a well thought out system.
There's no photo of that on this threadI am trying to see how you work the yoke from the back of the crush but can't, how does it work ?
YesI see you have changed the yoke
That is a bit like our cow catcher only its on wheels not the loader, how do you get them in it if they are in the field?Yes
The old one will be on my "treibewagen" (no English word sorry)
New thread to come !!!

Usually feeding (sometimes over a few days). You couldn't move a group on the road with a cow catcherThat is a bit like our cow catcher only its on wheels not the loader, how do you get them in it if they are in the field?
Which vets did you go with in the end @JP1?Works like a dream as long as you accept little calf followers (up to say 3 months old) can get in and out
I used it to part one young bull to tag him the other night in the dark and on my own. The rear lever for the yoke is a real boon too as you can be in their flight zone and they move forward in to the curved front gate very easy
Friday I'll do about 38 head for the SAC blood tests plus a few PD's with my new vet and I know it will work well with her with the big back space and vet access door
