done for insulation reasons the gap will be packed with rockwool, you can also see insulation strips glued to the bottom of the spans
"So" there is an improvement after 16 years the structural steels should always have had that on them.
It didn't make any difference on our side extraction sheds built over 18 years ago though, as we totally covered the structure including dwarf walls with 40mm insulation foam board.

Our 20 year old shed had similar understeel insulation, we put extra rockwool insulation in the new shed, Im not sure why as the frost doesnt melt on the roof in the older shed even when the interior is full temperature, it keeps the heat of the sun off too so more is better.

Made strong progress recently, roof half on , lights up and half wired up. Floor to be laid on Thursday. lights need to be working by then so they can float/polish the floor during the night.

Looking good then, when are chicks due. Who has done the electrics Local or further afield. It is looking wider than 60 ft. is it? and what about windows are there 3%?

66ft wide, no windows yet but 'windows ready'
Mosrpan only signed the building off as finished, not the contents
local commercial electricians doing wiring. not finished yet,
drinkers still to fit
cross auger needs connecting to existing bins, when empty of feed
gas pipes to trench in,
Im doing the water plumbing myself
exterior concrete to finish when birds are in.
