Anybody had similar problems with a new building ? These panels were supposed to be 2" off the ground but have been put up 8" off the ground and they wont put it right. Would need to bring rubble from Syria to bring it up but then we have lost nearly a foot in building height? Anyone any idea what I can do please?

That's really poor, what reason do they give for the massive balls up and why won't they put it right?

If they won't fix it I'd think you may be able to shutter and concrete underneath to avoid having to lift the whole floor however there will be a lot of additional cost and hassle to do it. If it is their mistake they should fix it though.

I don't like the way the builders name has being mentioned on a public forum, they do have a good reputation and you could ruin that with one post through being slightly misinformed. @llamedos would it be possible to remove there name until we hear the rest of the story?

The concrete panels look right to me. If they are 8" up then that means your bolts are set 200mm below ffl which is about right, they are after all the same height as your roller door. Have you checked shed height from eaves height to concrete panel bottom?

Looks like they have left it so you can put a bit of blinding down then pour concrete on top to bring the finished floor level to the bottom of the panels. Looks like a misunderstanding to me

Not when the floor was goingt to be 2" of road plannings !! The buiding was put up on a hard standing base that was already there so don't need any more infill. If I had wanted an 11' high building I would have asked for one. Certainly wouldn't put 6" of concrete on top .

Just move supports for panels down 6"? Not difficult. Moved all of ours on new shed.
The problem was the 'Rep' (who had never been on site at all) rang and asked if I wanted the panels on the base plates or 2" above the base plates and I asked for 2" above and got the 8" above.

Did they supply drawings for you to check before hand? As I said go and check your height from bottom of panels to top of your eaves plate and see if that's the height you ordered

Problem with telephone calls. Do you not have it in a email? It's sad but you can't trust anyone's word anymore in my experience.

When were putting sheds up everything's worked from finished floor level, boss always insists that as soon as the site is cleared there's something marked clearly with the ffl on it, that way theres always something to go back to for setting lasers and so on, never had a big problem yet, was slightly concerning when last shed went up and the plated for the panels were 4ft above your head, all came good in the end
