New Cambridge Rolls

Looking for a new set of Cambridge Rolls. 12metres wide. Fairly heavy with breaker rings. Currently looking at and getting quotes for Dal-bo, Cousins and He-va. Any others worth looking at? Any issues with the brands I’ve mentioned? Not a huge amount of road work to do.

Local dealer had a set of cross in, with shatter boards and triple k type tines on it, looked a fair weapon
Thought the triple K and levelling tines was only on the 6.3M, but stand to be corrected. Would take a hell of a pulling when they start to bury themselves!
The 12's look pretty solid too.

I’d be interested in a 14m set if they could do that size. Would be nice to tow behind the drill on easy going. would these brands mentioned have more than three sections. Ones here are stupid heavy but with 20 ft sections there is little contour following. Even in my flat ground it doesn’t take much to see daylight under one end.

Yes most of these will have sections from 2.5 to 3 meters.

Slightly off topic, but what on earth do you guys drag these 12m rollers with?? I used to drag an 8.3m set of dalbo's with 215hp on 650's for rolling after the drill and had to be aware of how I worked fields otherwise the tractor would start digging, so I can only imagine how hard these wider ones are to try and drag.

We drag our 6,3m wide He-va with duals on. Tbh the duals are on the Deere from may to september. Need to avoid unnecessary compaction.

Ah yea, duals not much of an option here as plenty of tights access with roadwork and not overly practical as could of been on the tanker the previous day, ripping forends for the drill with the sumo in the morning, rolling in the afternoon and then loading up and taking a load of straw home at the end of the day

Deere does all of the "heavy" work for us (baling, harrowing, rolling/seeding, manure etc) so makes sense to keep it on duals all summer. Case and smaller Deere take care of the rest.
