Finally finished our new handling shed all done by ourselves on farm it's taken a while as we've done in and among other jobs but quite pleased with how it's turned out.

Now I have cattle handling facility envy.

How many animals have you got to justify that? I know that you can justify such an investment with very few if you are considering stockman and vet health and safety however other investment priorities always seem to crop up here.

We have 150 cattle inside all year round selling about 300 fat per year, by doing it ourselves over 12 months we were able to spread the cost and keep buying everything as we needed to progress. It has add it so much quicker and safer.

We had the box section delivers to a local engineering firm who rolled it for £17.50 per length and then we made a jig to fit the band saw to cut the lengths square the welded the outsides up and then the middle rails in.

cant see one in the pics, and apologies if you've already done it, but one bit of advise i'd give, is to build a sturdy high level table near the crush, great for sitting various stuff on and writing on without doing your back in bending down all the time

Got a shelf hung next to the crush for bits and pieces table sounds like a good idea.
