New claas arion thoughts

currently have a puma 150 that I’m thinking of swapping for a new arion. I had an older arion before puma, a 620c. What are new ones like? What problems are they giving ? My old one had a head gasket done and a few little things but nothing too major. Any brake problems with the claas?

Wee bit far away . Would be getting a demo anyway if they were okay. I see a lot at dealers with big hours and not too old so contractors must be running them which normally says something

We had a demo of an Arion in the summer. It came with water in the fuel tank, they came and drained it. It then derated its self going down the road, so phase one was repeated. It then went out on a cultivator the following day, and again derated its self. Strangely the dealer snuck it out of the yard without anyone noticing. Wasn't the best demo

Sounds like it went well then

I was just about to start a thread and came across this, Been thinking of the 440 with fpt engine but was looking at a 530 yesterday and felt the 500 would suit us better for stability with a front loader. Haven’t tried it but seemed a well put together tractor. It’s probably either a 510, a JD 6120 or a Valtra N but you seem to get so much more for your money with the claas I’m so tempted to go claas again.
Are the 600’s are the same as the 500’s just bigger or totally different?
Edit: forgot to say that I was interested because of the air brakes and wondered about horror stories too..

Profi have good report on 650, but looks mental money on face of it, against the broadly similar sized Massey and Case; though I'd have thought Maxxum was fairer comparison.

Can’t say about the bigger ones the op is after but list price of a 125hp was a fair bit more than a basic jd6120m but came in the same amount less after discount and trade in. I’d be trading a claas so guess that’s why. A valtra N104 with all the extras of a door and back windscreen wiper was crazy money more again. I just can’t see the point in paying so much more for less where the claas looks to be pretty decent for a lot less money and it’s pretty decent spec.

Run a 420 here dealer reckons to replace it with a 450 to be the logical step. Fpt engines in the new 400's. 500's are four cylinder 600's are six. Haven't priced any but we went to the 420 at the time for access to a shed and seemed simpler to operate than the 500's for my dad. Just wish it had front suspension but at least the new one's have it as an option.

A maxxum will be a far smaller tractor weight wise than a 650. A puma is the equivalent of a 650

Our 410 seems light on the back end but the new 440 is an inch odd smaller wheelbase (I think) when I looked at a new 410 next to a 530 it looked too small in comparison but the new 440 is bigger than the new 410 so I guess a 450 might be bigger again.
My only concern with the cab suspension on the 5&600 is that as it’s on 4 corners would it cause the tractor to exaggerate the lean on the banks?
I’ve never had front suspension so never missed it but now you’ve got me thinking..
