New clusters

Ive been using this type of cluster/claw since the early 80s,it's still available today on the delaval web page, I've recently updated the parlour with new pulsation, new milk meters and new acrs, all gea, should I upgrade my claws too,is there any advantage,I can upgrade to a gea claw complete with shells and liners for £150 or less,3k in total,what should I do

We upgraded our parlour and they were desperate to sell me new clusters, but I bought another set of second hand ones the same as I had to double the parlour up. You can’t change the habit of a lifetime. Milking just wouldn’t be right with new clusters for me

The one advantage we seen going from the old alfa claws to those was that the gea claw had larger ports and together with the gea parlour that then meant more vacuum at the claw piece so was easier to put on.

I be very suprised if the IQ cluster is 150. I fought it was 300 odd

They were £400 when they came out.
I'm presuming it's this one @around £150 if that adds up but by the general chat of the thread it make no difference if I upgrade or not, scc average for the year is about 110 View attachment 824869
I wouldn’t change,the westfalia 300 claw is about the best there is,bought mine new for £56 each.
