Not sure what is in Britain's range these days, but imagine still be about £60.
Boss’s nephew got a 780tt for his birthday yesterday, (he’s 42 or 43) I think 🤪

Can anyone tell me roughly the new on farm price after negotiaion for a new mid-decent sized claas/nh combine say 25ft, ive not looked at shifting mine yet but i thought 250k would be about right now or could an ex demo be got for nearer 200?
I reckon you will find an ex demo NH CX6.90 with a 25’ header for about £200k.
Even a CX6.80 will handle a 25’ header. Mine does.
Or possibly even a CH7.70 as several dealers are demoing these this season. They will mostly be with 28’ headers. The idea being that they fit in well with 3 widths for 24 metre tramlines and are much lighter than anything with the 41’ header, which would definitely need tracks.

I’d bet Lloyds Ltd will have something like any of the above.

Also, speak to Nigel Honeyman (head of NH Harvesters UK).

A lot of the bigger tractors used for grain hauling are around the 200k mark, Will it still pay when subs get less, I must be missing something, lets hope prices keep rising, Maybe Bossfarmer is making a fortune in suckler cows now!!

£200k for carting grain, then there is the trailer, the driver and not insignificant running costs. Is it just me or does anybody else consider it to be commercial insanity.
With a small ring fenced farm we are only hauling it about 500 yards by tractor at most, not like the lads hauling it half way across the county from combine to store. But we are inefficient of course. We don’t have the necessary scale.🙄

At 500 yards just think of the savings if you cut out the haulage middleman and drove the combine to the store to empty 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Ring fenced farming is best for the environment and your pocket
No charging up and down the road, use cheap non folding 4m drills, no need to take header off
No need to keep up with jones,s as no one sees ur kit
No need for latest hilux
No imported weeds
It should be law

What tractors are 200k? 900 series fendts? 8 series John deeres?

well, those are the size of tractors we use with chaser bins just in the paddock - then we have trucks ( HGV artics, for the Poms ) carting to storage

but yeah, probably one of the most common size “farming” tractors here as well
