New Defender

new one yes trade in nope 👎🏻 see how I feel in the new year,I may just cancel it. Ordered it back in may and they keep removing bits from the specs now saying they don’t offer it any more,I guess they think they can speed up production by not offfering certain things

What a fudging joke. By rights you should just go and buy a fudging Porsche or something now. I know it won't have the same matching logo as your lunch box and Land Rover jacket but heck it would pish me off to go through the spec of building and configuring a new car only to have it factory deleted. Buch of muppets company LR. Got the same problem JCB have- selling too many units.

Selling too many units or too many orders and trying to build more than the factory is capable of. Hasn't worked well for quality in the past.

still no build date, yet someone who ordered a 90 Hardtop after me got theirs a month ago 🤦‍♂️

I give it less than 60 seconds before that entire outfit and the transit tipper in front of it is half-inched. Nothing in this world you can't lift on to a wagon with a HIAB if you know how.

This is not uncommon and I had experience of this first hand many years ago, yet I was daft enough to buy two more of their products. The last one was very well built but was bought just as the front differential failure debacle was unfolding and LR was refusing some repeat claims on that failure at the time. Although I was not effected it was the last straw for me that proved they had not changed their ways and I sold my Range Rover before it was out of its three year warranty. Never to return. I have been tempted since but saw the light through a lying dealership executive who would not take my Disco5 order [thank goodness] but tried to get me to buy a Discovery Sport with high pressure tactics lying about the NFU discount scheme ending at the end of the month. I walked out and bought a Volvo XC90 and never regretted it.

JLR is all show and showroom glitz. They make great play of customer loyalty being expected but return zero loyalty to their customers and all too often shaft them. They do not stand by their product.

Don’t get me wrong, I like their products very much indeed but despair of their company attitude to their products and the owners of those products who I’m sure are seen as mugs by some of their arrogant staff.

Look down there nose Landrover owners nowadays, I’ve had a fair old few new discovery’s, but the Toyotas I’ve got run rings around them, All swank and no bank most of the drivers now, you cannot call them owners as there not paid for!
