Anyone know what the current lead time is for a new defender. Lease on L200 ends July 2023, do I need to be ordering one now?

Ordered a 90 last may still don’t have a date

I would say up to a year depending on model/spec. They have cancelled a lot of orders recently and seem to be prioritising higher spec orders??
Facebook page has several on there who are not happy.
This is what’s hugely inflated used prices by up to £20k over new.

I was told last Monday that if I wanted some of the extras that I do, due to unavailability they are not allowed to take the order . If we’re could spec a car that has all the parts available I wouldn’t see it for 18 months .

Glad I have done the chassis and all the run I g gear in my old o e now. My only worry now is the sticky finger brigade the barsteward s.

We put a deposit on a showroom car in dec and got it on monday . But that was more right place right time as the guy who had put a deposit on it cancelled his order 10 mins before we walked in .

The 90 hard top seems to be the hardest one to get hold of,probably cause they don’t make as much profit on those
Might just buy another bike next week to soften the blow of waiting

Went to order a Defender 90 commercial yesterday couldn’t order one as I wanted three seats in front they are not doing them as haven’t got the chips for the camera and not doing the small engine at the moment so couldn’t order one but the website will let you build it

That’s not good 90 hardtop with 3 seats is what I would want…not an option to go 2 seats as want 2 daughters to be able to get in.

We have 3 seats in the front of our 110 and it’s loads better than the old ones as it has a flatter floor and the gear selector is on the dash .

I might just have to find a Pajero Evolution as a stop gap, but most of those come from Japan and shipping costs gone sky high

One of my friends priced a basic defender at £36k, which in my opinion is better value for money than some new pickups just in resale value
